Internship Completion
On September 4th, I completed my internship program at Azercell Telecom LLC in the Data Services Platform Unit of the IT Department.
Projects & Technical Work
During my tenure there, I developed daily-digest, a service that automated filtering and analysis of millions of raw SNMP alarms/alerts into quick daily overviews.
I also designed a disaster-proof GitLab backup system covering:
- repositories
- LFS
- secrets
- k8s manifests
- checksums
- SFTP+S3 storage
- retention policies
I automated PyFlink job deployment and updates through GitLab, replacing manual server and Docker workflows.
After automating Flink usage, I built:
- communication
- discovery
- telemetry
- registry components
for an autonomous network of AI agents with it.
Alongside these projects, I studied and applied ML fundamentals in Python with:

Engineering Lessons
More importantly, this internship taught me what it means to actually work as an engineer:
- meeting deadlines
- communicating and coordinating with others
- self-studying whatever was needed to start a project
- understanding tools deeply enough to reason about them rather than just use them
thanks to my mentors and management for embedding this exact skill within me
I learned to take initiative when something creates unnecessary friction, with me turning my frustration with manually managing Flink jobs into an automated workflow being an example of it.
Also worth noting that seeing daily-digest evolve after iterations of user feedback into something my coworkers genuinely found useful was one of the most rewarding parts of the whole internship.
My unit and department managers, mentors, and coworkers made me feel welcome, showed care and simply were fun to be around.
